Chairman Ma Weihua met with UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner at UN Headquarte

On April 9, Mr. Ma Weihua, Chairman of China Alliance of Social Value Investment (CASVI) and China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI), met with Achim Steiner, administrator of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), at UN Headquarter in New York.

During the meeting, Chairman Ma and Administrator Mr. Steiner had extensive discussions on sustainable development finance, exploring how China could benefit from existing pilot projects and research findings to promote the implementation of Sustainable Development Finance, and how both sides can work together in terms of impact measurement & management, information exchange on Sustainable Development Finance and SDG financing. In particular by facilitating communication and cooperation among investors, enterprises, governments and development partners.

Before this meeting, Chairman Ma was honorably invited to join the SDG Impact Steering Group composed of 10 leading figures from the financial and business worlds. The Steering Group aims to help facilitate global capital into SDGs financing gap. This year, UNDP will also hold the inauguration ceremony of the Steering Group to officially announce the appointment.
